Think AWARE for your Panic and Anxiety Attacks

Do you experience panic and anxiety attacks? Here are a few things that could help you and cure your of such a disorder. First, remember the word AWARE. ‘A’ stands for accept that you are having a panic or anxiety attack. Denying that you have this unpleasant condition would only worsen the situation. Not recognizing this disorder makes you unprepared for future attacks and would just make your condition more depressing and seem hopeless. The next thing to keep in mind is ‘W’ for watch the attack as it happens. This may be referred to as the balcony experience. Try to see yourself and what happens to you by detaching yourself from the situation. If you feel like an attack is coming, try to see yourself from another person’s point of view. What are the fears that threaten you? Are they real? Can you avoid them? By detaching yourself from what’s happening, you are given the chance to think more rationally and ask these questions that could help you.
