<p>If you suffer from anxiety attacks without knowing what to do they can soon take control over your life. The problem is that if you wait to do anything when you feel an anxiety attack starting then there is very little you can do to prevent it occurring. In this article we offer a few tips on how to stop anxiety attacks in the future.</p>
<p>One of the most effective ways for you to prevent an anxiety attack happening is to prevent yourself from thinking about them taking place in the future. If you can do this then when an attack does occur your mind will find it far easier to relax and so it will find it much easier to cope. A relaxed mind is going to be filled with positive rather than negative thoughts which could cause the attack to become much worse.</p>
<p>Another way of helping yourself to stop anxiety attacks in the future is to breathe properly. When you feel that an attack may be about to start then find somewhere quiet that you can sit down and begin to relax. As you sit down to calm yourself down further you need to start breathing in deeply through your mouth. As you take each breath in hold it for a number of seconds before you then release it very slowly. Although initially you may find it hard to do this type of exercise but over time as you practice it more you will find it becomes easier.</p>
<p>If you want to know how to stop anxiety attacks effectively take a close look at what you are eating and drinking. There are certain things such as caffeine and sugar which both can stimulate your anxiety further. Ideally to prevent further attacks it is worth eliminating these from your diet altogether.</p></div>
